This extract from the Medal Roll, shows the medals received by Private George Henry Keep. It indicates that he entered the "Theatre of War" on 1 September 1915, and was therefore entitled to receive the 1914-1915 Star Medal. The notes on the record states that his mother, Mrs Green had asked for him to receive the 1914 Star medal, which was given to service men who were in
France or Belgium between 5 August and midnight on the 22/23 November 1914, but the notes say he was not eligible for this. This MAY mean that he was in service before 1915, which is the date recorded on the medal roll.
