Isaiah Lemon was the son of John and Harriet Lemon. He had five siblings, an elder brother John and three younger sisters, Harriet, Isabella and Hilda, and a younger brother Robert Thomas. His father was a general Carman.
On 7th June 1903, at the age of seven, he was baptised in the parish of St. Peter and St. Paul in Mitcham along with his brother, Robert Thomas and his sister Harriet.
In June 1903 the family resided at 25 Fountain Road. By 1911, they had moved to 6 Everett’s Place, Phipps Bridge, Merton.
