Patrick Gilbert Warwick O’Hara was the son of Major Patrick H. A. O'Hara and Elizabeth Mary O'Hara (nee Boland), of Mornington, Crookedwood, Co. Westmeath, Ireland.
In the 1911 census he was registered as living at St Gregory’s Roman Catholic College, Downside Near Bath, Somerset, as a student. He later studied at Wimbledon College, His service in the First World War is commemorated on their website.
His death was noted on the 2nd Sep 1916 in The Tablet, an international Catholic weekly newspaper, where it stated:
‘Second-Lieut. Patrick Gilbert Warwick O'Hara, East Surrey Regt., the eldest son of Major Patrick H. A. O'Hara, of Mornington, co. Westmeath, fell in action on August 14th, at the age of nineteen. The late officer was educated at Downside and at Wimbledon Colleges, and received his commission in March, 1915.’
