Frank Sidney Keable was born in Wimbledon on 30 September 1892 and baptised in Holy Trinity Church on 21 October 1892. At the time of his baptism his parents, George and Frances Keable, lived at 21 Palmeston Grove but by 1901 they had moved to Hartfield Crescent. Frank was the fourth of six children and had 3 brothers, George, Frederick and Leonard and 2 sisters, Florence and Edith.
By the 1911 census, Frank was boarding at 4 Drayton Mews, Holland Street, Kensington and working as a domestic groom. He and his family then moved to Australia and by 1913 he was working as a carter in Toowang, Brisbane.
He enlisted on 24 August 1915 and joined the 4th Battalion of the Australian Machine Gun Corps. He was killed at the Somme and is buried in the Senlis Communial cemetery extension plot 1.C.13.
