Additional Information

Arthur was born on the 4 April, 1895 in Northwood, Middlesex, to Arthur and Evelyn Warburton. His father was a doctor who passed away when Arthur was still a child (at some point between 1905 and 1909), and his mother married again to a man some 37 years her senior, a retiree named David Morgan. The family had moved to East Molesey when Arthur’s father was still alive, and after Evelyn’s remarriage, they moved into a house called “Arley,” with their new stepfather, also in East Molesey. Arthur had two younger siblings, Phyllis and Thomas.

Arthur was educated at Shrewsbury House School in Surbiton, and King’s College School (1909-1914), where he was a prefect. He then became an articled pupil at an aviation works.

He entered active service on the 16 March, 1915, and died of pneumonia at Salonika.
