Additional Information
Frederick was born on the 5th of April, 1891, the son of William Henry and Clara Maria Isaac (nee Gatehouse). He was the third youngest of 8 children, with older siblings Flora, Minnie, Clara, Sydney, and Frank, and younger sisters Dora and Eva. His father worked as a Church of England verger before becoming the manager of a dairy. His maternal aunt Harriet seemed to frequently visit the family, as she was always there on the day the census was taken. The family moved from Chatham Road in Battersea, to Robinson Road in Tooting, finally ending up at 12 Bruce Road in Mitcham.
Before the war, Frederick worked as a painting compositor. He enlisted on the 4th of November, 1915, and served on the Chatham and Victory V, where his character was rated very good. He died at Yarmouth Asylum, better known as Norfolk County Asylum, which was in use as a military hospital at the time.
