Frederick was born c 1884 and nothing is known of his early life except that he married his sweetheart, May who was living at 62 Fortescue Road at the time of Frederick’s death.
He was a Private in the 5th Dragoon Guards (Princess Charlotte’s own), Household Cavalry and Cavalry of the Line, military number 7831 and military records show that he embarked for France on 15 August 1914.
Frederick died of pneumonia on 14 February 1919. He is buried at Ste Marie Le Harve Cemetery Div 64 VI K2.
