Robert Henry was the fourth child of Charles and Mary Booth; he was born in Kingston, Surrey in the first quarter of 1876 and baptized on the 16th July 1876 at Wimbledon.

The 1891 Census reveals that his father Charles was employed as a carman, his mother Mary was employed as a laundress or washer woman. The fifteen year old Robert was now employed as messenger and porter.

The 1901 Census reveals that 25 year old Robert Henry was still residing with his parents and that he was now employed as a broker’s clerk. His parents were still employed in the laundry industry.

0n May 27th 1907 Robert Henry married Beulah Ann Willington at Feltwell Parish church in Norfolk. Robert Henry according to the parish register was employed as a clerk. Beulah Ann who was employed as a domestic servant according to the 1901 Census. The couple had one child Dora Kathleen who was born on February 12th 1902. Their marriage was cut short when 27 year old Beulah Ann died in the third quarter of 1906.

Robert Henry married Rose Whistler in 1909 who was employed as a servant in Hampstead. By 1911, the couple with their 2 children were residing at 12 Edna Road, in Raynes Park with 9 year old Sara Kathleen and 7 year old Edward Spencer Booth.

Robert Henry’s service record is not available through Ancestry; he is known to have enlisted at Kingston upon Thames and died on 12 November 1917 and he is commemorated at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery. His estate of £171 2s went to his widow Rose.
