Sidney Samuel was the only son of 43 year old Loren Samuel Madle and his wife 30 year old Amy Talmadge. The couple were married at St Michael’s Church in Wandsworth on April 10th 1898.
Very little is known about the early years of Sidney Samuel except that he was born in the first quarter of 1899 in Wimbledon and baptized on the 30th April 1899. He enlisted in the army at Wimbledon and died from his injuries in Flanders. He is remembered at Saint Souplet British Cemetery.
