Arthur Daniel was the fourth child of William Coulson Moody and Sarah Ellen Everhill. His parents William and Sarah had married on the 23rd November 1889 at Forest Gate, Emmanuel in Essex.
Arthur Daniel was born during the first quarter of 1897 at Bermondsey in London,
The 1901 Census reveals that the Moody family resided at 32 Kennington Grove in Lambeth. Thirty eight year old William was employed as a carpenter. At the time of the Census, William and Sarah had a total of five children.
The 1911 Census reveals that William and Sarah had been married for 22 years and that that the couple had a total of 6 children who were all alive and well.
Arthur Daniel’s service record is not available through Ancestry, all that is known is that he enlisted at Kennington as a private 1st (City of London) Battalion (Royal Fusiliers) and was killed in action on the 16th August 1916 and remembered at the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
He has been remembered by his mother Sarah Ellen Hill (Formerly Moody) of 124 Canon Hill, Merton Park London.
