Additional Information
Frederick George Terzza was born in Nottingham in July-August 1896. He was the son of John H Terzza, a lithographic printer, and Harriet Terzza who lived at 24 Beaconsfield Street, Nottingham in 1901. He was the younger brother of Hannah 15 (a lace hand), William 13, Albert 10, and Annie 9.
In 1911 he was still living with family at 23 Conway Street, Nottingham and working as a cabinet maker.
In the First World War he enlisted as a private in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (RAOC). This was a corps of the British Army which dealt with the supply and maintenance of weaponry, munitions and other military equipment. Frederick served in Yorkshire and the North East of England. His regimental number was 7550591.
Details of his service are not known but in the last quarter of 1919 he married Ivy Green of 33 Goosebutt Street, Park Gate, Rotherham, Yorks. The couple went on to have a son, Edward, born on 16 October 1920.
Sadly Frederick was not to see his young son's first birthday. He died on 28th June 1921 and was buried in the Wimbledon (Gap Road) Cemetery B.C.64.
