William Creasy was born in Norwood, Surrey, the second son of George and Annie. His elder brother was also called George and he had a younger brother, John, and two sisters called Annie and Ada.
He started at Eardley Road School on 9 January 1905, after he and John were transferred from Beulah Road School. At that time they were living at 18 Leverson Street.
By the 1911 census, William had become a carman. He was still living with his family who had relocated to 21 Marion Road, Lonesome, Mitcham.
There is no information available regarding his military career but he died during World War 1 and his name is engraved on the war memorial at St Mark’s Church, Mitcham.
