Very little is known about Charles Henry Coles except to say that his service record states that he was born in South Norwood. Charles resided in Tooting, enlisted in the army at Kingston in the Middlesex Regiment, and was killed in action on the 31st July 1917. Charles has no known grave and is commemorated at the Ypres Menin Gate memorial.
