Benjamin was born in Leytonstone in c. 1892 to Arthur and Caroline Jane Morris.
They moved to 14 Landsell Road Mitcham but Benjamin went to Leeds to enlist. He joined the 4th Battalion of the Coldstream Guards as a Private 13542.
Very little is known about him or his military career but he suffered from German Measles in November 1916. He was killed in action on 28 November 1917 and is buried in the Orival Wood Cemetery.
