Eric was the son of Elizabeth Harriet Jones and Charles Stanley Williams. His parents had married at New Brighton in Cheshire on the 24th of June 1893. Charles Eric was baptized on the 26th of November 1895 at St Barnabus Church on Clapham Common at the time of his baptism, the Williams family resided at 43 Mysore Road. Charles Stanley describes his occupation as a commercial traveller.

The 1901 Census reveals that the Williams family resided at 28 Landrush Road in Hornsey. Thirty-two-year-old Charles Stanley describes his occupation as a drapery traveller.

0n the 16th of January 1905, Elizabeth Harriet gave birth to Phyllis Rose at Muswell Hill in London, according to the 1939 Register.

According to the 1911 Census, the Williams family resided in 8 rooms at 15 Street Lane in Roundhay. Elizabeth and Charles had been married for 17 years and had 2 children. Charles Stanley was a commercial traveller for a wholesale drapery firm. Fifteen-year-old Eric was still a student at school.

Eric’s service record is not available through Ancestry, Eric was killed in action and was buried at Delville Wood Cemetery in 1916.
