Additional Information
James was born in London in 1868/9,
He married Martha in 1897 at Saint John the Evangelist, Larcom Street, Southwark and the 1901 census shows them living in Southwark with his son George, who was 11, and a relative Annie Gilham. As Martha was only 22 at the census, George must have been from a previous relationship. James was working as a Carman.
No information about his family or his military career is available. He served in the Royal Marines and worked in the Labour Corps and died in Bromley on 4 March 1921. His pension went to Martha and there is no mention of George on the Pension Records. He is buried in Streatham Park Cemetery.
