Isaac was born in January 1879 and baptised on 1 February 1879 in All Saints Church, Margaret Street, London. The family, father Isaac, a Tailor’s Packer, mother Emily and siblings William, Eliza and Henry lived in Little Portland Street. A young sister, Frances, came along a few years later.
According to the 1901 Census, Isaac was born in Oxford Street, London. By 1901 he was a Clerk and was boarding in Wandsworth.
He married Cecilia Beatrice Hemson in 1908 and they had two children, Cecelia and Arthur.
By 1911 they were living at 6 Cornwall Street, Pimlico and Isaac was working as an Ironmonger’s Clerk.
Little can be found about his military career. He joined the Royal Army Service Corps and served in ‘A’ Supply Company. The Register of Soldiers’ Effects states that he was in FMS Hospital in Wheat Hampstead, Hertfordshire when he died but the ‘Find a Grave’ website says he died in Balham, London. He was buried in Streatham Park cemetery. At the time of his death, his wife was living at 23 Paddington Green, Harrow Road, London.
