Harry was born in Streatham on 19 June 1887. His father’s name was James.
Harry joined the Royal Marine Artillery Reserves, enlisting on 2 October 1905.
By the 1911 census, he was living in Police accommodation at 1 Bridewell Place in London and was a servicing Constable with the City Police.
He married Lydia Mary Allen in St Brides Parish Church, London, on 27 April 1912.
He was called up to serve as a Gunner in the Royal Marine Artillery and died in the Military Hospital in Codford Hants.
Harry is commemorated on the base of the War Memorial in Streatham Park Cemetery and a note on the Cemetery Grave Registration form states that he had a daughter born in 1912 or 1913 who lived with her Grandmother, Mrs Lydia Allen at 43 Villa Street, Walworth, London. He left the sum of £96 9s and 6d to his wife, Lily.
