Ralph Vernon Huntingford began working for the London, Brighton, and South Coast Railway in 1914, at the age of 17. He initially worked at Mitcham Station, and was transferred to Merton Abbey Station in 1915. This document shows that he resigned on 7 May 1915, presumably to enlist.
