This leaflet from June 1916 explains the aims of the Silver Thimble Fund, which was administered by Miss Hope-Clarke and Lady Maud Wilbraham. In less than a year, they had raised about £7,000 which enabled the purchase of three ambulances, a motor disinfector and four motor hospital launches.
